Basic Life Support or CPR, First Aid, and AED Heart Saver Hands-On Class at EmergenCPR (Up to 20% Off)

Reservation required. The AHA requires the current 2020 student manual, manual number 20-1102 can be purchased in class for $15 the day of the course. The CPR/AED/First additionally requires the Heartsaver Student book, available for $5 the day of the course. Payments via PayPal, Venmo, or cash accepted. Subject to availability. During hands-on classes, participants can learn how to act in a situation of emergency

  • What’s included:

  • Basic Life Support Hand-On Class:
  • Adult, child, and infant CPR with practice
  • Conscious and unconscious choking for victims of all ages with practice
  • AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use and special considerations
  • Breathing barriers, bag valve masks, and 2 rescuer CPR with practice
  • Cardiopulmonary emergencies and special resuscitation situations
  • Participants will receive an AHA BLS certification at the end of the course

  • CPR, First Aid, and AED Heart Saver Hands-On Class:
  • Recognizing when someone needs CPR and how to perform CPR alone or with help from others.
  • Proper activation of the emergency response system (911)
  • Giving breaths using a barrier device and pocket mask techniques.
  • Performing proper compressions on adult, child, and infant victims.
  • Learn how to use and operate an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Relieve choking in the responsive, and unresponsive victim of any age.
  • Describe the key steps in first aid
  • Demonstrate removing protective gloves, finding the problem, how to use an epinephrine pen and how to control bleeding and apply a bandage.
  • Recognize elements of common illnesses and injuries and how to care for them.
  • Participants will receive the American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid certification at the end of the course (valid for 2 years)
