Tech N9ne and X-Raided headed to Little Rock to perform at The Hall on October 9

One of the most influential and impactful figures in hip-hop, Tech N9ne has consistently defied expectations and accomplished the impossible, all from outside the traditional system. He has bucked trends, built a culture, and even created an entire world through Strange Music, the label he co-founded in 2000. The Kansas City, MO, rapper has evolved from playing packed underground shows in the Midwest to earning multiple spots on Forbes’ annual “Cash Kings” list. His career includes appearances on the cover of XXL, placements on the playlists of Sir Elton John and Dwayne Johnson, and features in national commercials for the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. Beyond tallying billions of streams and views, Tech N9ne has earned four platinum singles, three gold singles, and a gold album. He’s made twenty-three entries on the Billboard Top Albums Chart and holds the record for “most Top 10 albums on the rap chart.” Additionally, he has cracked the Top 5 of the Billboard Top 200 four times. Tech's collaborators have ranged from Eminem, The Doors, Lil Wayne, Tupac, Boyz II Men, T.I., MGK, Flatbush Zombies, and Gary Clark Jr. to Slipknot, System of a Down, Deftones, and Logic. Tech also took the mainstream by storm with performances on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! Complex even noted, "How Kendrick Lamar Became a Star With Help From Tech N9ne." In addition to selling out hundreds of shows, Tech has introduced his own craft beer, Bou Lou, in partnership with Kansas City’s Boulevard Brewery. This year alone, Tech released the latest installment in his Collabos series, COSM (CLASS OF STRANGE MUSIC), and crossed genres by touring with Hollywood Undead and Falling In Reverse on The Popular MonsTour II. He continues to push boundaries without compromise, recently teaming up with Falling In Reverse and Alex Terrible of Slaughter To Prevail for the explosive single “Ronald.” Tech also dropped the revelatory new single “The Punishment (Lockdown)” and has more music on the horizon. X-Raided’s journey can be likened to the hip-hop equivalent of The Shawshank Redemption. However, focusing solely on the 26 years, 5 months, and 26 days he spent incarcerated would be a disservice to his story. Arrested and charged with first-degree murder with a gang enhancement at the age of 17, X-Raided was tried as an adult. He faced the possibility of the death penalty before ultimately being sentenced to 31 years to life, though he has maintained his innocence throughout. Despite being behind bars, X-Raided consistently landed on the Billboard charts with independent releases. His music is believed to have influenced the likes of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg’s camp, and Eminem. During his time in prison, he befriended the Menendez Brothers, learned recording tricks from Mac Dre to make songs over the phone, survived a near-death experience, and impacted major legislation. Upon his release and subsequent signing to Tech N9ne’s Strange Music, he attacked his craft with the urgency of someone rapping for his life. Millions of streams followed, as did attention from outlets like TMZ and the New York Post. X-Raided now uses his freedom and platform to advocate for lasting change. His 2024 full-length LP, A Sin In Heaven [Strange Music, Inc.], is a powerful statement.
