ARTgenta: Through The Cracks Of Art History
Create and explore the niche, peculiar, or forgotten bits of art history! This week’s topic: Videogames as art.
Dig a little deeper than the great masters- In this ARTgenta mini-series, we’ll be looking into some of the most fascinating and niche topics in art history! Participants will be led through a deep dive and discussion over each subject, paired with an inspired art project or craft.
This week’s topic is videogames as a form of art! We’ll be discussing videogames in the context of the art world and picking apart the historically debated topic on whether or not they belong. Participants will get to explore some unique indie titles in an arcade-style display and learn about how they can make art games of their own.
This is a free program welcoming teens and adults with no prior knowledge or skill required! All materials will be provided.
