Dia de los Muertos - Day of the Dead - A Celebration of Life at NLR Public Library's Innovation Hub
Bring your family and friends to the Innovation Hub for a fun, free, and meaningful Día de Los Muertos celebration filled with art, music, learning, and community!
We’ll have creative activities for all ages, including:
🤩Gelli printing art activities.
🤩Screen printing (bring your own clothing or fabric!)
🤩 Button-making activities.
🤩Piñatas – yes, there will be two!
In addition to hands-on fun, enjoy a variety of cultural experiences:
🎤Jorge Luna, guest speaker, will share the history and significance of Día de los Muertos.
🎞️A short film by local filmmaker Luis Hernandez will be screened.
🎶Enjoy a live performance by local singer Vania, who will be sharing a few beautiful songs.
🎨Don’t miss the chance to view our community altar — a meaningful centerpiece created with the help of community members during free programs held in September and October. The altar features handmade decorations that honor the tradition and spirit of this special day.
