Join the Oregon-California Trails Association and American Heritage Partners for a special luncheon event in Independence, Missouri, featuring noted author and lecturer Jerry Enzler. Mr. Enzler will talk about his book, and highlight the incredible contributions Jim Bridger made to the exploration and settlement of the American West. Bridger was perhaps the most famous Mountain Man of his era, and his trailblazing successes opened the West to generations of explorers, trappers, surveyors, and pioneer families during the first half of the 19th century. This event will take place in Independence, Missouri, where Jim Bridger is buried, and where the Oregon-California Trails Association is headquartered. We are planning a small bus tour of key Bridger sites on Friday, during which guests will be able to visit Bridger’s grave and see other historic sites associated with Bridger. Visit our site for more information or to reserve a seat.
