St Augustine Active After 50 Expo
Presented by UF Health St. Johns and Millennium Physician Group, in association with Active After 50 Online, the St. Augustine Active After 50 Expo is FREE to all who attend. St. Johns County area Gen Xers, Baby Boomers, Seniors, Caregivers, family members and professionals who serve the Baby Boomer and Senior community are encouraged to attend. More than 50 vendors will be on hand. Attendees will enjoy a diverse range of exhibitors, fitness and nutrition tips, live music, free health screenings, Pickleball, Dance, Yoga Demos, job and volunteer opportunities, and a free raffle with lots of door prizes.
St Johns County Sheriff Rob Hardwick and Fire Rescue Lt. Wayne Whitehead invites the St Johns County over 50 community to attend the first charity Pickleball Exhibition ‘Battle of the Badges’ match at the Active After 50 Expo on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 at St Johns County Convention Center in St. Augustine.
The friendly pickleball competition will feature Sheriff Rob Hardwick and his wife Kendell up against Lt. Wayne Whitehead and firefighter Florian Schneider playing a best 2 out of 3 pickleball match on the indoor court at 11:00 AM at the Active After 50 Expo. Everyone wins because in addition to the fun match, funds will be raised for St Johns County on Aging Meals on Wheels Program for seniors. Perishable food items will also be collected for the Feeding NE Florida Agency.
Staff from St. Johns County Council on Aging (COA) will be on hand to run a raffle to benefit COA Meals on Wheels. A $5.00 raffle ticket donation gives Expo attendees a chance to win a $250.00 Selkirk Sport professional Pickleball Paddle and other Selkirk branded swag!
Appearing live at the Active After 50 Expo is Blue Lotus World Dance Group. These ladies will perform their highly enjoyable Belly Dance show at 12:15PM.
