VIPSquad Entertainment | Candice Alvita Productions | My Life & Grind | Twenty4 Carat Events Jax Summer Fest 2024 >> Since 2014, Duval Spring Fest has provided a platform for "local" artists, aspiring entertainers and entertainment entrepreneurs, creatives from Jacksonville and surrounding areas, and supporters of all the above-- this year, after celebrating the 11th anniversary of Spring Fest with a rooftop kickoff, Fashion Friday featuring Jax-based designers and models, block party Saturday featuring the annual Mic Madness artist tournament showcase where artists competed for over $2000 in prize giveaways including performances during BET Hip Hop Awards weekend in Atlanta later this fall, and wrapping it all up on Sunday with community service day, JAX SUMMER FEST (Spring Fest's counterpart) will return with the same 3-day format, but with a beachy twist >> THU August 8 Jax Summer Fest Kickoff Mixer 8-11pm @ [Location TBA 7/21] Jacksonville, FL Enjoy a few performances from some of Duval and surrounding areas' best performing rap and R&B artists including some of the artists previewing some of their material before they perform Summer Fest Friday/Saturday along with special appearances by some of the models and designers participating in Friday's Fashion Show coordinated by Candice Alvita-- Thursday guests may even catch a sneak peek of what will be on display at the Fashion Show the following day-- special guests will also be in attendance, a perfect way to kick-off the big weekend >> FRI August 9 AFROBEATS vs. DANCEHALL Party + Fashion Show -- We're bringing back the annual Model & Designer Fashion Show + pitting Team Afrobeats vs. Team Dancehall to decide which genre deserves the crown this year. Bring the beach chairs, spades tables, and beach/tailgate tents, to the Jax Summer Fest Main Event: the inaugural Beach Party & Talent Showcase, and be ready to enjoy a variety of local music performers, dance groups, specialty acts, and live music from one of Jax's hottest bands. FYI buying VIP tickets directly from performing acts is a great way to support them directly (they make 50% of revenues) and will help them win the annual title of SummerFest Best Seller. This event is free to the public, but a ticket is required to gain entry into the VIP area where seating is available.
