Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said "Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve." Join us as we share this message with the kids of Columbus and celebrate MLK Day in partnership with the Madam Walker Legacy Center!
Seeds of Caring will provide 5 youth service stations at this event. Activities will include making “Use Your Voice” posters, assembling dental care kits for neighbors served by Gennesaret Free Clinics, decorating and packing snack bags for unhoused neighbors served by Horizon House, bookmarks for homebound seniors distributed through The Indianapolis Public Library, and creating take-home art inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. In addition to the service activities, you will find art and educational activities provided by our community partners.
Please note that the Madam Walker Legacy Center expects to host a speaker from noon-1:30pm in their main theater. Check their website in the upcoming weeks to register for this free program.
Note: This event allows hundreds of kids to engage in meaningful service and it is one of our largest events. Please consider this when deciding if it is a good fit for your family.
