Make Me Famous Film Screening -- Indianapolis Premiere! 80's NYC art documentary

Make Me Famous, a new 1980s NYC art documentary exclusive to cinemas, is making a Indianapolis Premiere on May 17th at the Kan Kan Cinema and Brasserie 7 PM with director Brian Vincent and producer Heather Spore for a post screening Q&A Critically Acclaimed. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes! A madcap romp through the 1980's NYC art scene amid the colorful career of painter, Edward Brezinski, hell-bent on making it. Brezinski’s quest for fame reveals an intimate portrait of the art world’s attitude towards success and failure, fame and fortune, notoriety and erasure.  Make Me Famous is an unlikely vantage point of the popular 1980s NYC Downtown art scene known mostly for the art stars of the era: Jean Michel Basquiat, Julian Schnabel and Keith Haring. The film uses the life and career of an unknown, striving artist to explore the landscape of the creative bohemian scene which served as an alternative to the elite New York art world in the 80s and gives an authentic view of this important NYC history from the survivors of the period…with a trove of never before seen archival footage and hundreds of art and photographs of the era. "Blows OPEN the '80s New York art scene" --DAZED and CONFUSED “everyone SEE this movie” --ARTFORUM “a trove of THRILLING Interviews” --THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER “FASCINATING art-world documentary” --VILLAGE VOICE
