Decoding Downtown Indy Walking Tour
What secrets are hiding in plain sight? Explore historic downtown Indianapolis and learn to decode stories hidden within the city’s landmarks. On a 90-minute guided tour, participants will discover distinctive building details, identify architectural styles of different eras, and compete for fun prizes in an Indy-themed game. Tourgoers will view exteriors of the Indiana Statehouse, Soldiers & Sailors Monument, St. Elmo’s Steakhouse, and more.
This outdoor walking tour departs from Hudnut Commons (50 S. Capitol Ave, Indianapolis). This is the park at the corner of S Capitol Avenue and W Maryland Street to the south of the Simon Building. Groups will cover approximately one mile over the course of 90 minutes.
