Arts for Learning Indiana celebrates its 65th anniversary & brand-new E 10th St home with a free, four-hour, family-friendly Open House on Saturday, June 27 from 11 am to 3 pm. The new headquarters at 3328 E 10th St is located along the newly designated East 10th Street Emerging Arts District corridor. The all-ages event will showcase musical performances, hands-on art-making stations, exhibitions of artwork by current students, alumni & Teaching Artists, public mural creation, sidewalk art, and more. Among Teaching Artists scheduled to perform are Cathy Morris, Village of Stories, Squirrel Butter, Beatriz Vasquez, Jingo de la Rosa, Matt Deloughery and Omar Rashan. The event will be held rain or shine; free parking will be available at IPS Brookside School, 3150 East 10th St or curbside throughout the area. Food & beverage will be available for purchase from on-site vendors. Founded in 1961, Arts for Learning Indiana - originally known as Young Audiences - is the premier provider of arts education programs for youth throughout the state, delivering 40,000 hours of high-quality arts education experiences annually.
