Caring Hearts for Caring Paws

Caring Heart for Caring Paws is a fundraiser to support R.W. Browns Humane Animal Education Program. By instilling children with a fundamental respect and appreciation for animals, Caring Paws prevents animal cruelty, especially the dog fighting prevalent in North Philadelphia. Our Caring Paws Zoo animals, in turn, serve as therapy animals for isolated, depressed seniors. Caring Paws recognizes the mutually beneficial human-animal bond as a critical means to reduce animal cruelty. Caring Paws provides humane education to children enrolled inthe after school program at R.W. Brown Community Center. Through Caring Paws, children learn to care for animals and form meaningful bonds. These bonds develop empathy and compassion in students, making Caring Paws students better friends to both animals and people. Caring Paws is interested in expanding its facility and creating a more enriching environment for both the animals and the children. Caring Heart for Caring Paws will be a Black-tie affair that includes dinner, dancing, and raffles. A three course dinner will be served by PennJersey Roller Derby team on their roller-skates! After a delicious dinner is served tours will be available to the see the Caring Paws Zoo and a photo opportunity with our animals will also be available. In the main party room a DJ will be playing music and beer and wine will be available. There will also be a chance to participate in our Chinese Raffle which will have baskets from local stores.
