TYLER SCOTT - CHARCOAL LIFE DRAWING WITH A LIVE CLOTHED MODEL
Life drawing is all about observation. Some may focus more on the skin and its folds and texture, and others may focus on the contours of the body: the bones and skeletal proportions. While learning how to use various types of charcoal, working from a live model will help students learn how to apply essential anatomical principles.
Tyler Scott has been with Creatively Wild Art Studio for nearly two years, and he heads up the Teen program: Drawing, Anime + Manga, Advanced, and Foundation classes. He also teaches Adult programs including Oil Painting, Still Life, and the popular Plein Air Class (Painting Outdoors in Dumbo). Tyler was born and raised in Brooklyn and holds a BFA in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan. In his own work, his main focus and background are in comic book illustration, children's books, traditional, and digital mediums. He is experienced in pencil, ink, watercolor, acrylic, oil, and digital art and portraiture and painting.
Art supplies including sheets of drawing paper or a pad, a selection of pencils, willow/vine charcoal, compacted charcoal, and kneaded eraser will be available for use for $20, but participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies if they have them. Easels will be provided.
