Greater Houston Area Foster Care & Adoption Info Meeting
Last year, nearly 1,200 Houston area children and youth were removed from their families due to abuse or neglect. Most are school-age, and many need a family that will allow them to stay with their siblings. Unfortunately, there are not enough foster or adoptive families in our area.
PCHAS and other Houston area foster care and adoption agencies are working together to raise awareness. During this one-hour info meeting, we will explain how children enter foster care, what you can expect as a caregiver, the requirements for becoming a foster or adoptive family, and how to get started.
