For the Love of Horses
On Saturday, May 14, Hill Country Horse Rescue (formerly known as Brighter Days Horse Refuge) is hosting "For the Love of Horses" fundraiser. This family-friendly begins at 9am on the grounds of the Horse Rescue, located at 682 Krause Rd in Pipe Creek and will include food trucks, games for the kids, a silent auction, guided tours of the facility, face painting, and live music by local Hill Country musician, Homer Whisenant.
"We are so excited to be able to host this fundraiser and welcome anyone who'd like to join us," said Carole Gage, president of the Hill Country Horse Rescue. "Due to COVID restrictions, we've been unable to hold this important event for the last couple of years. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generous donations from the community. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the care of our resident horses."
Schedule of Events:
9 am - Gates open
10 am & 1pm - Guided Tours
10 am - 1 pm - Face Painting
10 am - 2 pm - Silent Auction
11 am - 2 pm - Live Music by Homer Whisenant
11 am - 3 pm - Food Trucks
12:30 pm - Horse Grooming Demonstration
