Run Club Community 5K with ZFT, Hibbett and Nike
— Nike and Hibbett will join forces with Houston chapter of ZFT Run Club on Saturday, February 28, 2026 for a community-driven 5K running event that is free, open to the public and expected to attract 400+ attendees for a morning run centered on movement, connection and black running culture.
Run Clubs have been growing in popularity across the country and are known for creating safe community spaces where fitness, culture, mentorship and deep social connection intersect.
Participants can pick-up their wristbands and t-shirts for Saturday’s 5k at one of three Houston area Hibbett locations; 1042 Federal Rd., 13256 Northwest Freeway or 6808 HWY 6.
The free event will kick off near Leeland House restaurant in Houston and all runners are welcome regardless of experience level.

Schedule: 8:00 AM | Run begins at 8:30 AM

Onsite Experience
In addition to the free community-led 5K run, there will be branded tees, totebags, koozies, hydration and recovery stations and an exclusive pin for those who complete the run. Along the route participants can expect a fun, upbeat atmosphere with DJ’s to pump up the crowd.
Runners will also be able to “test-drive” the latest in running performance with either a pair of Nike Pegasus or Nike Vomero running shoes to borrow and wear during their race (while supplies available) or purchase a pair at the onsite pop-up or at a nearby Hibbett.
