Open-Water Scuba Diver Certification Class for One or Two or Try Scuba at Gulf Coast Scuba (Up to 51% Off)
Must be 15 or older. Reservation required. Registration required. Younger than 18 must have guardian-signed waiver. All participants must be able to swim 200 yards nonstop and tread water for 10 minutes. Certain medical conditions may disqualify you or require your doctor's approval. Open Water Certification is only awarded if the student is able to complete all the required test and exercises. Purchase of mask, fins, snorkel, and booties from the merchant is required. For Try Scuba, participants must complete the Registration Form, Privacy Policy Form, and Introductory Scuba Code. Participants will be provided basic scuba gear (BCD, Regulator Set, and Scuba Tank) and must have basic snorkel gear, which is available at our store. Try Scuba is a recognition program only. Limit 1 per person, may buy 1 additional as gift(s). May be repurchased every 90 days.

Open Water Scuba Diver Certification Class
- What’s included:
- Classroom, pool, and open-water sessions
- BCD, regulator, wetsuits, dive computer, wetsuits, weight pockets, and weights (for the duration of the class)
- Text and materials
- Group lessons
- Course duration: one or two weeks depending on pool schedule.
- Course schedule:
- Classroom sessions are Monday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Pool sessions are either be on weekday evening 6 p.m. to 10 p.m or Saturday and Sunday morning between 7 a. m to Noon depending on pool availability.
- Open-water diving is Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m to 1 p.m.
- Dive locations: bodies of water and training facilities
- Valid toward Open Water Certification?: yes (certification is only awarded if the student is able to complete all the required exercises)
- Required purchases: mask, fins, snorkel, and booties for an additional fee
- Requirements: All participants must be able to swim 200 yards nonstop and tread water for 10 minutes.
- Not Included: Entrance Fee to open a water training facility.
