- Microlink Hair Extensions: A stylist attaches small wefts of hair to tiny sections of one’s natural hair using a small silicone-lined bead. Then, they use a special tool to secure and tighten the bead. The procedure takes approximately 2–4 hours. Generally considered semi-permanent, the extensions usually last up to 4 months.
