Monthly Mele Hali'a Showcase at Waikiki Beach Walk
Share the joy of music together at July's Mele Hali‘a, when Waikiki Beach Walk presents the finest in Hawaiian musical entertainment by some of the island’s most exceptional, award-winning artists. This month’s performance will be KILIA!
Kilia refers to the name of a specific area of reef just outside of the community and town of Hauʻula, where all three young ladies are from. Kilia - as it refers to this reef reminds these young Hawaiian women of their home town, upbringing, and their desire to hold true to their bonds of friendship - a sisterhood. All three women are classmates of the Kamehameha Schools - Kapālama. Together, as musical artists, they create beautiful Hawaiian music for all walks of life to experience their young voices and sultry harmonies. Each are unique and carry a distinctive personality that makes up this all female musical group!
