Hawaii Food & Wine Festival - HMAA Presents Keiki in the Kitchen
Dive into a day of culinary excitement and family fun at HMAA Presents Keiki in the Kitchen® making waves at Wai Kai before the school bells ring! This year, we’re bringing Food Network sensations Duff Goldman and Jet Tila, Netflix “Is It Cake?” star Justin Salinas and cookbook author Priya Krishna to this end-of-summer bash for hands-on activities to get your budding home chef in the kitchen. From cookie decorating and cake jar assembly to spam maki rolling and more, they’ll learn insider tips and tricks from the pros, and grab selfies with their favorite celebrity chefs!
Catch chefs Duff and Jet on the mainstage for the Keiki in the Kitchen Cookoff—a friendly culinary challenge that brings their expertise in the kitchen to a live demonstration for all ages. Watch in awe as keiki finalists of the Hawaii Gas Presents Localicious® Recipe Contest Cookoff showcase their culinary talents for a panel of esteemed judges and a chance to win prizes! Plus, we’ll have chef demonstrations with local favorites—chefs Jon Matsubara of FEAST by Jon Matsubara and Ronnie Nasuti of Tiki’s Grill & Bar—to teach families the tips and tricks to the perfect game day snacks and how to prepare dinner in under 30 minutes like the pros. Admission is FREE for all attendees with registration online. Hands-on activity tickets are $5 per child. HMAA Members will receive complimentary tickets for hands-on activities with proof of HMAA Membership.
