World premiere of RYAN OKINAKA’S THE GOLDEN GAYS at Kumu Kahua Theatre
Mark your calendars for the world premiere of RYAN OKINAKA’S THE GOLDEN GAYS, the last play of the 54th season at Kumu Kahua Theatre! Written by Ryan "Oki"naka and directed by Denny Hironaga, RYAN OKINAKA’S THE GOLDEN GAYS follows Aunty Maria Lani Tunta, a fierce and fabulous mother to a chosen family of queens facing their golden years and ready for second chances. In a script inspired by the groundbreaking show, The Golden Girls, these characters tease and challenge each other to move on--in this crazy life, you have to seize the cheesecake!
Tickets to all shows running May 29- June 29, 2025 are on sale now. General Admission is $28, with additional savings available for groups, new and returning season subscribers, students, and more. Guests may also consider making a donation that will enable others to experience the beauty of theatre through scholarship ticket packages.
