Raging Bull Screening followed by 'OHINA Cinema Hui
Audiences can get in the ring for a spectacular screening event at Consolidated Theatre’s Kahala Mall location, showcasing Martin Scorsese’s Raging Bull starring Robert De Niro as boxer Jake Motta. The one-night-only event on November 20, 2023 will present the film in its full glory on the big screen. Consolidated Theatres will partner with 'OHINA to offer an even deeper dialogue around one of cinema's eternal masterpieces following the 7 p.m. screening.
Guests are invited to stay for a special “Cinema Hui” discussion on the impact of Raging Bull across the filmmaking landscape. Gerard Elmore, Executive Director of 'OHINA and Chris Kahunahana, acclaimed Hawaiian filmmaker (Waikiki) and 'OHINA Community Director, lead the conversation. Offering mentorship, production support opportunities, and a platform for Hawaii’s filmmakers, 'OHINA hosts an annual script development LABS program, as well as the popular short film SHOWCASE.
