Heartwarming Book Signing Event at Barnes and Noble Ala Moana: "What Day Are You?”
Barnes and Noble Ala Moana is thrilled to announce a special book signing event on January 6, 2023, at 2pm, featuring the locally cherished children’s book "What Day Are You?". Authored by the dynamic local father-daughter team, Steve Sombrero and Candice Sombrero Ishikawa, this captivating narrative is designed to support youth mental health. Released on December 5, 2023, "What Day Are You?" invites young readers into an enchanting journey alongside Moco, a sea turtle from Laniakea beach, and his marine companions. Through their adventures, readers of all ages discover a secret equation for embracing life fully, unburdened by worries.
A substantial portion of “What Day Are You?” proceeds will be directed to the Moore Aloha Foundation, and various youth mental health charities. Furthermore, Barnes and Noble will contribute proceeds from the book signing to the Moore Aloha Foundation, aiding their initiatives such as wellness events, monthly essay scholarships, internships, and futurementorship programs for youth.
"What Day Are You?" made a remarkable debut on December 5, 2023, securing #1 New Release status on Amazon for both Paperback and Audio books. Attendees at the book signing will have the opportunity to acquire signed copies of the book and enjoy readings by the authors.
