Floating Poolside Sound Bath w/Daniel Lauter
Extra special summertime sound bath event! Coming Sun 7/26, start your morning floating in the pool, or lounging in the shade, refreshments, you, bliss! The Litchfield Inn, 9:30 am Daniel Lauter is a classically trained musician, composer, sound alchemist, known for his powerful, enchanting sound baths and sound journeys. His work bridges music performance, contemplative practice, world instrumentation, and ambient sonic design for the past 45 years. Daniel’s background spans classical conservatory training, interdisciplinary arts, jazz, rock, and global music traditions. One of the first artists in the United States, in the mid 1980’s, to explore and perform with fused quartz instruments, known popularly now as crystal bowls, Daniel helped shape the foundations of contemporary sound meditation. He is like an atmospheric symphony, professionally performing on and selecting from bansuri, Yidaki (didjeridu), Symphonic gongs, Himalayan and quartz crystal bowls, tongue drum, spacious clarinet & saxophones, ocarina, shruti box and more. His musical style of sound baths invites listeners into fascinating, deeply restorative and often transcendental states. Each live session is customized with a musician’s touch of phrasing, melody and harmonic balance. Daniel Lauter and his wife, Donna Soszynski, a Horticultural Therapist working with botanicals, and biophilic art, recently have moved full time to the Kent Hollow area of CT. They are excited to be bringing these types of programs to our communities and surrounding area.
