Southington Historical Society and Museum Open House Saturday, June 14, 2025
The Southington Historical Society and Museum celebrates local history with thousands of items on display, ranging from artifacts of Indigenous Peoples, to the very beginnings of the Industrial Revolution with items manufactured in Southington and distributed around the world. Our timeline also includes pieces of pop culture, business memorabilia, and militaria. The museum is housed in the town's first free public library, located at 239 Main Street, Southington. It will be open from 12noon to 4pm. Admission is free, and free parking is offered across the street at the public library. Entry for the museum in on the Meriden Avenue side of the building. The schoolhouse is located on South End Road, Plantsville, at the exit of Recreation Park. It will be open from 9am to11am. Admission is free, and parking is available in the park.
