Ebony and Ivory Opening Reception
EBONY & IVORY OPENING RECEPTION
Opening Reception: Saturday, February 10 l 12 - 1:30 PM
Join us for the opening reception for "Ebony & Ivory," a themed art exhibit highlighting black and white works - with pops of color! The exhibit will be judged by noted Connecticut Artist and G53 Instructor Bonnie Potter. Four prizes will be awarded at 1:00 PM.
Working in black and white forces the artist to focus on the essentials - composition, contrast, negative and positive space. Time and time again, we've seen this singular focus lead to exceptional works of art. That's why we've chosen to showcase black and white work again this year for our February art exhibit. The exhibit will include paintings, drawings, photographs, digital compositions, and mixed media.
This event is free and open to the public. Complimentary refreshments will be available. And of course, the G53 Gift Shop, with hundreds of unique handcrafted items created by local artisans, will be open during the event. You can also check out our storefront G53 ALT Exhibit Space featuring art by CT Artist Elizabeth Taylor directly across the street at 24 Colony Street. Free garage parking is also available at 24 Colony Street.
