Script to Screen: With Love, From Me to You… is an original production written, filmed and acted by students in collaboration with Communication, Film and Theatre professor Brian Day. Featuring stories written by students Karynn Hardy, Jasmin Clark, Xsyanni Jackson, Tanayah Jones, Melody Lacombe and recent alumn Joy Ikechukwu, With Love, From Me to You… showcases a series of original films and staged productions that explore the concept of identity in its many forms.
These productions were developed and written as part of the 2024 Eastern Film Project, which guided a small group of students through the script writing process during the Fall 2023 semester. Student directors, crews and actors have spent a portion of the Spring 2024 semester producing and editing both filmed and staged pieces, which will culminate in a 2-day showcase celebrating these original works.
Script to Screen: With Love, From Me to You…will be presented in the Fine Arts Instructional Center's Proscenium Theater on April 26 & April 27; April 26 at 11:00am and 5:30pm and on April 27 at 4:00pm.
Tickets are free for Eastern students; $5 for other students and groups of 10 or more; $10 for senior citizens; $12 for Eastern faculty, staff, alumni and $20 for the general public. Tickets for this production are on sale NOW at the following link: https://easternct.showare.com/film2024/
