Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, be a Connecticut resident, and be able to work in the United States.
MANUFACTURING IS ESSENTIAL
Skill Up for Manufacturing Program includes:
Free 5-Week hybrid classroom & hands-on training
Cash stipend during training
Minimum 175 pre-apprenticeship hours
Six Sigma certification
OSHA 10 safety card
Job development
Graduates of the Skill Up for Manufacturing program gain the introductory skills manufacturing employers are looking for, such as how to read blueprints, use calipers and micrometers, shop math, and more. Many graduates are quickly placed with local companies upon completion of the program. The classes feature students with various backgrounds and age groups, from students in their 50s looking for a career switch to younger students looking to enter into the workforce for the first time. The collaborative nature of the class enables students to help one another as they learn new skills.
We are accepting applications for our Summer and Fall sessions:
