HARTFORD, CT — Bees Deluxe, the renowned British-Boston acid blues band, electrifies the stage at Black Eyed Sally's, in Hartford, on Saturday January 13th. The evening will celebrate the release of their latest album, "Hallucinate" and showcase the distinctive sound of Bees Deluxe. Fronted by British guitar wizard, Conrad Warre, known for his work with The English Beat, Joe Jackson and his residency at the legendary CBGB’s, Bees Deluxe turns traditional blues on its ear and seamlessly blends elements of jazz, funk and psychedelia to bend the blues genre into something original and highly musical. Hailed for their distinctive "acid blues" style, Bees Deluxe has garnered praise from Blues Blast Magazine, which described the band as a fusion of Freddie King's soul with Pat Metheny's compositional prowess and Stevie Ray Vaughan's electrifying solos. The Rock Doctors Hot Wax Album Reviews raved about their latest album, "Hallucinate," describing it as "what Steely Dan would sound like if they played the blues." "Hallucinate," the latest release by Bees Deluxe, features a captivating lineup of original tracks, including "Sharkskin Suit," "Another Close Shave," and "Gary Burton’s ex-Guitar Player Stole My High school Girlfriend And Now I Can’t Stop Dreaming About Her." The album showcases the musical prowess of the band members and friends of the band, including Carol Band on keyboards, vocals, and harmonica; Poogie Bell on drums; Allyn Dorr on bass and vocals; Jared Egan on guitar; Joe Egan on keyboards and manuscripts; James Gildea on bass and vocals; Paul Giovine on drums and percussion; Adam Sankowski on bass guitar, and Conrad Warre on guitar, bass, vocals, trumpet, kaossilator, strings, and keyboards. Produced and mixed by Joe Egan at Tight Squeeze Studios, the album's front cover art, titled "Lady in Waiting," is a creation by Wendy Brusick. Conrad Warre serves as the executive producer, with basic recordings and mastering by Joe Idzal at All Things Audio. All songs and music are credited to C. Warre, except for "How To Play 96 Tears," which is credited to Carol Band. The album is now available at major e-commerce websites, the band's official website (www.beesdeluxe.com) and at their live shows. Bees Deluxe invites music enthusiasts to join them for a night of unforgettable acid blues and the celebration of "Hallucinate" at Black Eyed Sally's on January 13th.
