Sketching Class
The beach is our favorite getaway and place to relax! We will create an ink sketch of a beach cottage with chairs all ready to relax by the shore! Then we will finish it with watercolors.
Christine will take you through each step of the sketch and painting.
We will transfer a basic drawing using a template to the mixed media paper. Then we will use fine line waterproof pens to complete the sketch. We will also darken some of the values with a heavier value pen. Last, we will add some colorful watercolor paints to bring it to life.
You can be creative and add your own cottage sign, sandcastle, beach bag, etc as you desire. Have fun with this! Perhaps your personal memories will inspire you.
All materials are provided - including a template - mixed media paper, pens, pencils, erasers, paints, and brushes. You are welcome to bring your own watercolor paints or ink pens with you.
Christine will provide several examples on the board and there will be paper setup for practicing your skills.
