Oil Painting Class

This is a class combining teaching and practice, considering the choice of subject, shapes, value, edges, composition, and perspective. Students will work on the same subject. The session will begin with a simple still life composition of a rectangular vase with some zinnias or daisies, or a book and two apples. In the class time, we will sketch, block the shapes, and figure out the values. Participants will have a completed painting by the end of the class, and refine at home if they choose. These in-person sessions will offer inspiration and individual feedback, allowing the participants to discuss, practice, experiment, learn, and support each other as they become better artists. All levels are welcome!
