Israelism Film
“We came to Israel and we left from Palestine.”
Israelism reveals the degree to which many American Jewish institutions and communities equate support for Israel with Jewish identity, as well as how Jewish attitudes towards Israel have been changing dramatically in recent years. It follows the political evolution of two millennial American Jews as they reckon with what they have been taught about Israel.
Co-directed by Jewish Americans Erin Axelman and Sam Elersten and produced by Tikun Olam Productions.
The film will be followed by a discussion of the history of Jewish anti-zionism led by Michael Young, Art Historian and Academic Librarian.
