    ● LIVE MUSIC: "HEADWATERS", consisting of Jim Sirch on banjo, whistles, and bodhran; Willow Sirch on fiddle; and Gary Wikfors on mandolin and mando-ephemera. These three met performing together as part of the venerable New Haven-based band The Fiddleheads, who have played for us many times in the past.

    ● CALLER: JEN JASENSKI, Jen is a former Spanish teacher who came to contra dance via swing dance over twenty years ago. Having found herself calling while dancing to help dancers, in 2019 she decided to take one of renowned caller Bob Isaacs’ Learn to Call classes and is now a regular in Connecticut. She has also called in MA and NJ. Jen is also an organizer for her local 2nd Saturday dance in CT and is on the NEFFA Board of Directors.

    ● ADMISSION: $13.00 per person OR. Students (with ID, please) are $6. And any donations are greatly appreciated and encouraged!

    ● CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR: Just bring clean shoes, that move easily on the floor, to dance in to preserve the floor (no high heels please). Dress is comfortable and as you like!

    ● FOOD: Some snacks offered at the break. You can bring something if you wish but it is not required.

    ● PARKING: There is plenty of free parking right in front of the hall. ● ROLES: Are traditional: Ladies & Gents but these terms do not dictate the gender of any dancer. Any dancer may dance either role. HCD Quiet Corner Dances are warm and inclusive events that welcome all people! Whichever role that works for you is fine and some do, so all just "go with the flow" as it were!
