Music at the Spring Concert: Mendelssohn Piano Trio
Since its founding in 1997, the Mendelssohn Piano Trio has performed over 600 concerts in the US, Europe and Asia, and recorded 15 CDs, all to critical acclaim. Comprised of pianist Ya-Ting Chang, violinist Peter Sirotin, and cellist Fiona Thompson, the Mendelssohn Piano Trio’s extensive repertoire of over 100 works embraces music from all periods of the genre’s history. They will perform a program entitled “Portraits of the Artist as a Young Man,” featuring works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Erich Wolfgang Korngold.
