Get to Know York County - History Series - Across the River: Murder at Accomac
The Accomac Inn is a renowned historic landmark with a dark past. Its ancient stones bear witness to many significant events, including a heinous crime on its grounds. Learn of the murderous tale and more on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 5-6 p.m., at Senior Commons at Powder Mill, 1775 Powder Mill Road in York.
Local author Michael Maloney delves into the captivating true crime story that rocked York County in 1881. His book “Across the River: Murder at Accomac” details the history of the Accomac river crossing on the Susquehanna River and chronicles the infamous murder of the young Emily Myers.
