Dementia education and support group: Understanding food and eating habits
Senior Commons at Powder Mill hosts a dementia education and support group with informative topics to support the well-being of older adults with Alzheimer’s or other dementias and their family care partners. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 1775 Powder Mill Road in York, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Our next meeting, Thursday, June 19, explores “Understanding Food and Eating Habits Associated with Dementia” with our Senior Commons team, sharing effective nutrition tips, potential causes of poor appetite, and strategies for creating calm and comfortable mealtimes.
