Dementia Education and Support Group
Senior Commons at Powder Mill hosts a monthly dementia education and support group featuring informative topics to support the well-being of older adults with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementias, as well as their family care partners.
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. at Senior Commons at Powder Mill, 1775 Powder Mill Road, York.
The next meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 19, will explore “Balancing Safety and Independence.” The Senior Commons team will discuss strategies for determining when to intervene for safety while preserving a person’s independence for as long as possible.
