Lisburn Community Day & Lower Allen Township's 175th Anniversary
Lisburn’s Community Day & Lower Allen Township’s 175th Anniversary celebration. Lisburn Community Fire Company will be having a community day on October 4th from 10am-2pm. Lower Allen Township Staff and Board of Commissioners will be in attendance. The first 250 Lower Allen Township residents receive a free tote bag. In addition, there will be commemorative glasses available for purchase (cash only). There will be construction trucks, Township trucks/equipment, fire apparatus, ambulances, police cars and many other vehicles. Then come into the social hall to visit the historical documents and pictures from the Township and fire company. The small pavilion will be open for purchasing of lunch items including our chicken corn soup. There will be a live band playing throughout the day. There will be Police, Fire, and EMS demonstrations. At noon we will honor our veterans and first responders with the presentation of the colors and national anthem. Games and activities for kids. Free parking and admission. The event will be held at the Lisburn Community Fire Company which is located at 1800 Main Street, Lisburn on Route 114 halfway between Mechanicsburg and New Cumberland.
