Your location has been changed to Harrisburg area.
Join us for a morning walk to explore the world of birds and birdwatching while out on the trail. We may spot scarlet tanagers, Baltimore orioles, and wood thrush in the forest. You will learn to identify a variety of species that visit our local natural areas while using binoculars, field guides, apps, and of course, our own eyes and ears. We’ll also discuss the vital role that our wild spaces have in protecting avian diversity and how we can continue to provide habitat that is crucial for species' survival. There will be ample opportunity for Q&A, so bring your burning bird questions and your enthusiasm for all things bird-related.
What to Expect: This event will take place outdoors. We'll walk on natural trail areas that may contain uneven surfaces and some elevation changes. There is a port-a-john at the parking area.

If you have a field guide that you prefer to use, feel free to bring it along. Dress appropriately for the weather, including rain layers and waterproof boots if applicable. Bring water and a snack. Appropriate for ages 12 and up (participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).
Where to Meet: We will meet at the parking area for Old Trolly Line Park across the street from High Family Nature Preserve.
