A Fundraiser for the YWCA York (One-Night-Only Staged Reading) Partnering with the Marie Mambu Makaya Foundation, Women and One Acts (W&OA) will be hosting a one-night-only staged reading of “No More Secrets: Survivor Voices from the Second Step” by Lisa Rafferty on Saturday, March 22, 2025. The short play is based on the book “No More Secrets: Healing from Domestic Violence” by A sisterhood of survivors—Alison, Becca, Cecelia, Donna-Marie, Olive & Selma. It is the story of six women who participated in a narrative healing group at The Second Step — a domestic violence non-profit in Newton, Massachusetts. All proceeds from our event will be going to YWCA ACCESS York & Victim Assistance Center for survivors of domestic violence here in York.Ev...
