Stephen Cantrell is a veteran of Spartanburg’s music scene. He has fronted bands and performed as a solo act. He has been a sought-after lead guitarist. He’s written and recorded original songs.
Over the years, Stephen has played in a wide variety of bands. He's played guitar in a blues band that toured the Southeast, led a group playing original songs, and accompanied numerous local songwriters.
Stephen, serves up a mix of roots-based original and cover songs that reveal influences ranging from rock-a-billy, 60’s garage rock, Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters and Hank Williams, Sr., to the Kinks, The Rolling Stones and the Beatles, to Nirvana.
