The Chicken and the Egg
Ages 5 and over. $15 for first child, $10 thereafter. This is a PRE-PAID EVENT so contact Ellen at [email protected]. Observing and interacting with live chickens. Learning about the structure and content of eggs and observing and handling different ones. Learning about what chickens need in their diet and what they forage. Mix up their own cups of feed and feed to the chickens and observe their reactions. Info. about chicken manure and why it is such good fertilizer based on what they eat. Ashtabula Historic Home is open after the event for tours... children that participated in the event are free, others... ages 5-18 are $5 and adults are $10.
