Marc Higgins - Off the Clock Friday at Fretwell Spartanburg, SC
Marc Higgins and the Chainsaw Bears, offer a rootsy style of power pop that's akin to a contemporary, Southern version of The Replacements.
Higgins, whose brand of folk-rock has been described as a cross between the punkish energy of the Replacements and the alt-country aesthetic of Whiskeytown, has long had a reputation for producing catchy pop hooks.
Stylistically, Marc Higgins and the Chainsaw Bears churn out the kind of roots-flavored rock 'n' roll that has made Higgins a fixture on the Upstate music scene for nearly two decades.

Every Friday, join us for "Off the Clock Friday" featuring live music from local artists. The FREE event is perfect for unwinding with friends, taking a break from your walk on the Rail Trail or looking for a family-friendly outing. Fretwell provides the ideal setting for a casual and enjoyable evening.

Location*: Fretwell Lawn, located just steps off the Mary Black Foundation Rail Trail

Food and Drink: Enjoy a large selection of beer and wine, food from the Little River Cafe and delicious bites and shaved ice from The Spartan.
*The event gets moved inside the Little River Cafe at Fretwell if the weather forces us inside.
