Fox Valley Concert Band's Fall Concert
Friday, October 17, at 7:30 pm the Fox Valley Concert Band conducted by Dr. Marc Sackman will give its annual Fall concert at Xavier High School Fine Arts Center in Appleton. The concert is free and open to the public. The program is centered on American music from the mid 20th century including Psalm , William Grant Still’s Folk Suite and music from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein. Since the concert will mark the band’s fortieth year of making music, and its first independent from the UW, George Gershwin’s Strike Up the Band will open our concert. Also on the program is Running Set by R.V. Williams. Our march for the evening will be The Glory of the Yankee Navy. Please join us as the band embarks on a new era.
