Want to learn how to turn an invasive species into something useful, like a tasty treat? Join us for a garlic mustard pulling event on Saturday, May 11th from 9:00-12pm. We'll meet at a location (TBD - watch for an email a couple days before to registrants) to pull the invasive species for an hour in the greenway before heading to Triangle Hill's shelter to cook the garlic mustard and make pesto out of the garlic mustard to put on pasta. Crystal Brown, our Foraging expert, will help everyone identify and pull correctly, and then help prep and cook...all leading to a delicious pasta lunch.
$10 per person, $5 Baird Creek members
Schedule:
9-9:30 educational talk about responsible foraging & what we have done about this invasive in the Greenway
9:30-10:30 pulling garlic mustard
