A Night in November

The Seanchai (SHAWN-a-kee) announces 'A Night in November'
Kenneth Norman McAllister was a simple man. He followed the rules. He lived where he was expected to live. He voted for the right people. He loved who he was supposed to love. He fought who he was taught to fight. Until one night -- a night in November.

But this is not America. And this is not now.

Based on the now notorious events surrounding the World Cup qualifying match between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland at Windsor Park in 1993, 'A Night in November' follows Kenneth on a wild (and often hilarious) journey of self-discovery. 'A Night in November' is the stunning multi-award winning play from Marie Jones, the writer of other hit shows such as 'Stones in His Pockets' and 'Women On The Verge Of HRT'.
The Seanchai presents John Dunleavy as Kenneth Norman McAllister. Dunleavy, who received a Joseph Jefferson nomination for Best Actor when he performed this role in Chicago, recreates this multi-character two-act play for the first time in Milwaukee.

"Dunleavy powerfully conjured the tensions in his character's marriage in the first act. And by the gleeful, liberating second half of this stamina-testing work, he was in fine form" ~ CHICAGO SUN-TIMES
"Dunleavy is giving an unquestionably bravura performance... for two hours fills the stage with a gallery of lusty Irish characters in this one-man show." ~ CHICAGO TRIBUNE
"Dunleavy rises to the challenge with a performance of deep passion, brisk humor and absolute conviction. His is one of the year's finest turns. Kenneth's story is one of the year's great treasures." ~GAY CHICAGO
