"Galaxies" presentation by Editor-in-Chief of Astronomy magazine, Pewaukee Library, Oct. 8, 7 pm

Galaxies are systems of stars, gas and dust. Over the past 20 years, astronomers have revolutionized our understanding of galaxies. Dr. Eicher will discuss how these systems are formed, how they evolve, and how our understanding of them has changed. He will also discuss the dramatic future of our own Milky Way. This presentation is sponsored by the Pewaukee Astronomy Club, which operates out of the Harken Observatory at the Pewaukee Public Library. The presentation is free and intended for a general audience.
