The Port of Fear Film Festival
The Port of Fear Film Festival is an international film festival celebrating everything horror, sci-fi, fantasy, and thriller. It offers more than 30 short and feature length films from around the globe. Six Shorts blocks and six features encompass every sub-genre of horror, including monsters in the woods, rouge artificial intelligence, beings from another world, zombies, the haunted house, and more!
To celebrate our local community, we will be highlighting the spectacular work of filmmakers right here in the Midwest. Featuring a shorts block of exclusively local horror filmmakers, and a local feature that was shot in Kenosha and Racine. Filmmakers, both locally and across the US, will be in attendance at the festival with Question and Answer sessions after each film, to give audiences the opportunity to ask filmmakers about the art of filmmaking.
The Port of Fear Film Festival is proud to feature local horror-themed vendors; everything from tarot card readings, crystals, horror masks, steam punk apparel, and more! To help highlight Kenosha's local businesses, there will also be raffle baskets from various local restaurants, hotels, bars and stores, showing the best that Kenosha businesses have to offer! To help enjoy the day even more, a cash bar will be featured in the historic chemistry lab of the Kemper Center, proudly serving brews from Kenosha Brewing Company and Public Craft Brewing.
