Duck Creek V.F.W. Post 7534 Memorial Day Parade
Duck Creek VFW Post 7534 has announced the schedule of events for this year’s
Memorial Day on Monday, May 27th 2024.
The theme for this year’s event is “Remembering their Courage, Honor, & Bravery”.
The day will start off at 8:00 a.m. with a Memorial Day ceremony at Memorial Park located at 754 Riverview Drive in Howard. Then followed at 9:00 a.m. with a ceremony at St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery located at 1198 Pinecrest Road in Howard.
At 10:00 a.m. on Memorial Day, the Memorial Day Parade will commence from St. John the Baptist Church located at 2597 Glendale Avenue. The parade route will enter on to Cardinal Lane, proceeding north to Glendale Avenue to Velp Avenue and then southeast on Velp Avenue to Riverview Drive. The parade ends at the intersection of Velp Avenue and Riverview Drive.
At 11:00 a.m. there will be a ceremony at the conclusion of the parade by the Veterans of Foreign Wars at the Duck Creek Cemetery, located at Velp Avenue and Riverview Drive to honor our nation’s fallen.
The Duck Creek Pub located at 754 Riverview Drive will be serving food and drinks at the conclusion of the events and will also have live music throughout the day.
