Victorian Christmas Celebration: The Twelve Days of Christmas
Decorations include adorned trees in every room, wreaths in every window, tables set with the finest holiday china and silver, Victorian toys, and a different verse of the song represented in each area of the house.
Decorations are hand-crafted by our dedicated curation staff and volunteers with the advice and help of the Fox Valley Technical College school of design students. The result is stunning room-after-room of literal works of art.
We are open Thursday through Sunday for daytime tours.
Our evening events are open house affairs with no set guided tour. Holiday merrymakers are encouraged to wander from room to room to take in the sights at their own pace. Our docents will be on hand to explain Victorian holiday traditions and answer any questions that may arise while wearing their Victorian holiday finest attire.
The evenings also feature live performances of traditional Christmas carols played on our 1875 Kranich and Bach square grand piano as well as other musical instrumentalists.
